Thanks for Visiting

I am a psychology graduate and have worked as a support worker for people with disabilities (when I have been well enough). I have also taught as an English teacher in Japan. I want to help as many people I meet who maybe suffering from mental health conditions.

You can get through bipolar disorder or any other mental health condition. Life can be hard at times with the ups and downs but there is always help available to you.

If you feel you are in crisis don’t hesitate to call the Samaritans on 116123 or go on their website https://www.Samaritans.org. You can also phone the NHS helpline on 111 from a landline or mobile for advice and support. This is a new service.

Stay in contact with your family and friends as much as possible. Alternatively if you don’t have many friends and are alone check www.bipolaruk.org for a self-help group online or near where you live. You can also make friends at www.restore.org.uk and www.mind.org.uk These places all provide wonderful support and can get you back on your feet as well as enabling you to make great and long lasting friendships.

Whether through medication, talking therapy, making new friends, self-help groups on or offline, you really can improve and live a fulfilling life.

Remember if you don’t have much help in the community such as having a psychiatric nurse or psychiatrist you must speak to your doctor and he/she can point you in the right direction.

Good luck, you will be fine. Best wishes..
