Stuck eating ready meals everyday because you can’t face cooking? Home cooking can be very enjoyable and can help your mood.
Here’s how to make the easiest curry from scratch. You will need to go shopping to buy the spices. It’s so much nicer than a curry from a jar, and all you need to do is add a teaspoon of each spice.
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts
Olive oil
3 clothes of garlic
2 onions
1 pepper
2 celery
Mushrooms (optional)
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
1 teaspoon of vegetable stock
Spices:
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon ground gram masala
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cumin
3 or 4 teaspoons hot chilli powder
Rice or naan bread
Recipe:
Add olive oil to the pan.
Chop all the vegetables thinly sliced and fry them in a saucepan.
After about 10 minutes or until the vegetables are soft add the chicken.
When the chicken is cooked add all the spices. Add the hot chilli powder to your taste by tasting it.
Add 100 ml of vegetable stock
Add the chopped tomatoes
Leave to simmer for 20 minutes on a low heat.
Cook the rice or bake the naan bread.
Enjoy! Indian curry is surprisingly easy. You will feel better knowing you have achieved something today.
I'm going to try cooking that, thank you! L
