Just call 111 - a new way of asking for help.


If you are feeling depressed, manic, psychotic, suffer from stress and anxiety or if you are feeling in anyway mentally unwell you can now phone the NHS 111 service for support and guidance. You can phone on a landline or mobile phone.

The number connects you to a local team who have mental health training with counsellors, nurses and clinicians answering the calls. The call centres are open for 24 hours a day.


If you're feeling ill do not hesitate to call them. They can point you in the right direction.

I guess most people think 111 is for physical issues and do not know who to contact if experiencing mental health symptoms. It's good that this is now all being handled under the same number and will be able to provide guidance and advise on the next steps.
